Andre "Mr. Highlight" Ewell (born January 21, 1988) is an American professional mixed martial artist, striker, and the current Karate Combat Featherweight Champion. Known for his crisp boxing and long 75-inch reach, Ewell fought extensively in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) from 2018 to 2021 before successfully transitioning to striker-first promotions.

Born and raised in California, Ewell began his combat sports journey with a background in traditional martial arts like Taekwondo and Shorin-Ryu karate. He entered professional MMA without a single amateur fight, cutting his teeth in regional circuits like the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) and Classic Entertainment and Sports (CES MMA), where he captured the CES Bantamweight Championship in 2018.

His impressive 13–4 regional record earned him a call-up to the UFC. In his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 137, Ewell secured a marquee split decision victory over former UFC Bantamweight Champion Renan Barão. Ewell spent over three years with the UFC, compiling notable wins over Anderson dos Santos, Jonathan Martinez, and Irwin Rivera before departing the promotion in late 2021.

Following his MMA tenure, Ewell expanded his combat footprint into bare-knuckle boxing and Karate Combat. On October 17, 2026, Ewell reached a new career pinnacle at Karate Combat 63 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. In a thrilling co-main event, Ewell survived a chaotic final round—where both fighters traded knockdowns—to defeat Luiz Rocha via unanimous decision and capture the Karate Combat Featherweight World Title.

Across his multi-discipline career, Ewell has established himself as a versatile and durable striker:

Ewell fights out of Riverside, California. He has been highly vocal about his deep personal motivation inside the cage.
